Meeting the Changing Needs of this Generation of Learners
Following the keynote address, there will be small break out group sessions. These sessions will give you the tools to support independence for children with praxis deficits, understand self-regulation and strategies to support participation, create a sensory supportive school environment, and implement parent strategies to support children’s self-regulation.
Presented by Aubrey Schmalle, SIPT, OTR/L is the owner of Sensational Achievements, a private pediatric clinic in Stamford, CT. She has been specializing in evaluating and treating sensory processing disorders since 2005 in children from toddlers through young adults. Additionally, she consults with the Board of Education and local private schools on best practice intervention and support strategies for children with sensory processing disorders and specific learning disabilities such as dysgraphia, executive function, and praxis deficits.
