Independent Educational Evaluations
Aubrey Schmalle OTR/L specializes in Independent Educational Evaluations to identify a child’s current sensory, motor, and learning needs in order to optimize school program support for your child. She has worked with school districts throughout Fairfield county and beyond to support children with Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, speech delays, and identified emotional disturbances to better understand the complex underlying issues impacting behavior, participation, and ability to access the curriculum.

Misophonia
Aubrey Schmalle, OTR/L, SIPT provides evaluation and intervention for individuals experiencing misophonia, a condition where certain sounds trigger strong emotional or physical reactions. Using her expertise in sensory integration and sound-based therapies such as the Tomatis® Method, Aubrey helps clients understand their sound sensitivities and develop effective regulation strategies. Through her Body Activated Learning™ Framework, she offers personalized programs to improve sound tolerance, attention, and daily functioning at home, school, or work.

Meet Aubrey Schmalle, OTR/L
Aubrey Schmalle, OTR/L, SIPT, is a licensed occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience helping children build the skills they need to succeed in a fast-paced, technology-driven world. She graduated from Boston University in 2003 and holds advanced certifications in Sensory Integration Theory and Practice (C-SIPT), Consultant-level certification in the Tomatis Method, and training in Tomatis-based auditory interventions. Aubrey specializes in understanding how children experience the world through their senses and uses this insight to support learning, emotional regulation, and confidence—even in children with challenges like Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, or executive function difficulties.
As the author of Uniquely Human: Raising Leaders and Creators in an AI World and The Body Activated Learning™ Handbook, and creator of The Body Activated Learning™ framework , Aubrey empowers parents, educators, and professionals with practical, science-based strategies to help children adapt, focus, and thrive in a digital and AI-driven generation.
